Nurse practitioners (NP) are educated and trained to provide health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic condition.

Sydenham House Medical Group have a number of Nurse Practioners based within the surgeries. 

Alison has an interest in COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) 

Renata has an interest in Diabetes. 

Hayley has recently completed her Back to Nursing.

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as blood pressure measurement, NHS health checks  and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

The Practice Manager is responsible for the administration and day-to-day running of the practice. They would be happy to hear your views and suggestions about the services offered by the practice.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. 

Our Medical Secretaries provide secretarial support to the Practice Manager, GP’s and other members of the Primary Health Care Team
